Spring Auditions: Dec. 11-12
Spring theater auditions will be held Wednesday, December 11, and Thursday, December 12, from 4-6 p.m. in Hyde Chapel. Auditions will cover both upcoming spring productions: the winter student showcase, Live at the Hyde, and the spring production, Henry IV, Part 1.
Performers can come to one or both days. No preparation required. Audition readings will be provided. Contact: auditions@musowls.org with questions.
Live at the Hyde: Jan. 29-30
A student-directed showcase, Live at the Hyde, will run January 29-30 as part of Basketball Homecoming week. Directed by senior Tyler Edmundson, this special event will feature music, comedy, competitions, and more.
Henry IV, Part 1: April 4, 6-8
Shakespeare's action-packed history of the English monarchy, Henry IV, Part 1, mixes comedy, family drama, and swordplay. Prince Henry Bolingbroke is not the sort of son who makes his father proud. Instead of attending to his responsibilities as the next King of England, Hal spends his days in a cheap tavern carousing with a group of ne'er-do-wells under the tutelage of the rotund reprobate, Sir John Falstaff. But, when a new rebellion led by a dynamic and dangerous young rival threatens the reign of his father, Hal will have to prove his princely worth... or die trying. Instructor in English Jeff Posson '03 will direct.
