Jerry Peters Turkey Shootout: Nov. 29-30

Basketball teams from across the region will converge on Ross Lynn Arena on Friday, November 29, and Saturday, November 30, for the annual Jerry Peters Turkey Shootout.
Tickets can be purchased HERE or at the door; adult tickets are $11 while youth (ages 13 and under) tickets are $6. Owl Sports Passes and U Cards will not be accepted. See the campus map HERE and team instructions HERE.

Friday, Nov. 29 
2 p.m. - Westwood High School vs. Humboldt High School
3:30 p.m. - Christian Brothers High School vs. First Assembly Christian School
5 p.m. - Briarcrest Christian School vs. Hillsboro High School 
6:30 p.m. - MUS vs. Lausanne Collegiate School
 
Saturday, Nov. 30 
11 a.m.- Hillsboro High School vs. Christian Brothers High School 
12:30 p.m. - Westwood High School vs. Briarcrest Christian School 
2 p.m. - Lausanne Collegiate School vs. Union City High School 
3:30 p.m. - MUS vs. Humboldt High School
 
The two-day event allows teams from surrounding areas to showcase their skills while honoring a legendary basketball coach. Mr. Jerry Peters ended his 48-year career as the Owls head coach with 1,001 wins, which made him the winningest coach in Shelby Country history at the time of his retirement in 2012.
