• Jones Gets 100th Win In Brighton Match

  Last night the Owls split a pair of matches, defeating Brighton 72-12 but falling to Munford 42-21.  The highlight of the night was Cort Jones's pin against Brighton to earn his 100th career win.  Cort is the 9th member of the MUS Century Club since wrestling began at MUS in 1974.  The wrestling team's overall record is now 12-10, with Bartlett & Millington at home Thursday. 

• MUS Wrestling Qualifies 7 for State Meet at Regions

  The MUS wrestling Owls finished in 6th place overall and qualified seven wrestlers for the state tournament this coming weekend. Joseph Weiss (120), Cort Jones (126), Trey McDonald (132) Tyler Edmundson (138) & TJ Mayes (190) placed 4th; Luke Henry (106) & Catcher Miller finished 5th in their respective weight classes.

• Wrestling Owls Close Regular Season at Bryant Hornet Storm

  The MUS wrestling team traveled to Bryant, Arkansas Friday to participate in the Bryant Hornet Swarm. The Owls finished 6th overall with Cort Jones (126) and Catcher Miller (185) coming in second, Tyler Edmundson (138) third and Luke Henry (106) & Trey McDonald (132) fourth. Next up for the Owls is the state championship in Franklin , TN on February 16.
