Memphis University School, like many other nonprofits and schools in Memphis, faced challenges brought on by the coronavirus pandemic in the 2020-21 school year. However, as Headmaster Pete Sanders often says, we were able to “pivot” and adapt to continue the mission for over 650 boys.
Faculty, staff, and students ascribe to an Honor Code and Community Creed outlining ideals that have governed behavior since the school’s inception: a belief in truth and honor supported by the principles of service, respect, leadership, and involvement.
MUS positively impacts the larger community through strategic partnerships, economic contributions, and service initiatives. Additionally, we support the community by sharing our facilities, providing college internship positions, and sponsoring related philanthropic endeavors.
Local alumni serve as leaders in a wide range of corporate and community organizations, investing meaningful economic, intellectual, and philanthropic capital in the city.
We take pride in our home city of Memphis and look forward to continued innovation and growth in this community!
