Glenn Rogers, Jr. Inducted into M Club Hall of Fame

The University of Memphis M Club Hall of Fame has named Coach Glenn Rogers, Jr. to its class of 2023.
Rogers – one of seven new members – will be inducted on Saturday, February 10, 2024, inside the Billy J. Murphy Complex on the University of Memphis Park Avenue Campus.

Rogers was a three-year letterwinner for the Tigers where he is also tied for fifth in school history with 12 interceptions and third in career interception return yardage with 229 yards. In 1990 he was named First-Team All-South Independent and received the John Bramlett Defensive Player of the Year award. After college Rogers joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL then went on to the Canadian Football League where he played for the Edmonton Eskimos, BC Lions, and Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Following his professional career, Rogers made his way to 6191 Park Avenue where he has been an integral part of the Owl community since 2000. He has served as a physical education instructor and assistant football coach, and since 2003, assistant director of Admissions. His contributions on and off the football field have helped shape the student body as he has built relationships that will last a lifetime.
