Despite a valiant comeback effort, the JV Owls fell to Christian Brothers last night, 12-7. The Purple Wave took a 12-0 lead into the half, but the Owls started moving the ball late in the third quarter following a Tanner Sherman interception deep in MUS territory. A 67-yard pass from Dhilan Madasu to Maddox Giel got the Owls close, and then after a pass from Madasu to Foster Flaherty, Sherman recovered a fumble in the endzone for the Owl touchdown. The Owls promptly got the ball back and threatened late, getting to the CBHS 24-yard line, but they could get no closer. Madasu finished with 189 yards on 10-14 passing, two going to Cannon Sherman for 70 yards. Despite a shaky start, the Owls fought back and showed some promise
Next up for the Owls is a 9th/JV combo game vs Briarcrest on Monday, August 26 at 6:00 in Stokes Stadium.
