Beg To Differ Garners Gold

Beg To Differ traveled to New York to participate in the WorldStrides Heritage Festival, coming away with a Gold Medal for the second year in a row.
Freshman Russell Lindeman also won the Maestro Award for Exceptional Performance for the second time in two years. Owls are among 200 musical groups who perform in festivals across multiple cities.

“I’m as proud of them as I’ve ever been with any incarnation of Beg To Differ, and I can’t wait to go back and top our scores again,” Music Instructor Matt Tutor ’91 said.

The group visited the 9/11 Memorial and One World Trade Center during the trip then enjoyed a vocal workshop with NYU Choral Professor Paul Speiser. The trip also included a Broadway vocal and movement workshop with Wicked actors A.J. Holmes and Alicia Albright followed by taking in a performance of the musical.
